“Rose Hilton’s unassuming home is reached down an unmade road in the quiet village of Botallack, not far from St Just. From the house and track, visitors are assailed by glimpses of a spectacular, rugged coastline, populated by the eerily beautiful remains of tin mines. This is where Rose, Roger and their two young children came to live in 1965, and where Roger died just ten years later.”
