A Trio of Printmakers: Photoshoot for Drift Feature

Earlier this year, we took a trip to the wild and beautiful Penwith to capture some photography for a feature we put together for Drift Magazine on a new exhibition called A Trio of Printmakers at The Old Coastguard in Mousehole.

A Trio of Printmakers brings together for the first time three Penwith based artist printmakers, Gillian Cooper, Sara Bevan and Graham Black, each inspired by different aspects of the wild coast and moor landscapes in which they live. The exhibition shines a spotlight on contemporary printmaking in Cornwall, highlighting the artists’ individual styles and choice of imagery, whilst showing an insight into their knowledge and expertise of a wide range of techniques belonging to an age-old craft. We were lucky enough to visit Sara’s beautiful studio, capturing some photos of her at work and her stunning creative workspace, all while interviewing Sara, Gillian and Graham about their differing approaches to printmaking and upcoming exhibition.
