Lucy Studley: Founder/Owner
Lucy studied History of Art at York University, where she received a 1st Class BA Hons degree before moving to Cornwall in 2009. She worked as a restaurant manager for several years and also for a wine merchant, before committing full-time to her ‘side-hustle’ as a freelance writer and marketeer specialising in food and drink, and the arts. Words are Lucy’s passion, and she’s never happier than writing long form articles for print. She’s also a relentless conduit of ideas, coming up with concepts for new campaigns and making creative connections which span the length and breadth of Cornwall. Lucy lives in Falmouth with her husband Todd – a chef – and their two young children.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Lucy co-created The Comfort Cookbook, a collection of recipes from the top chefs across the South West designed for people to cook and take comfort from at home. She is now working on her second cookbook – more on that soon!
Betty Paton: Photographer/Digital Marketing Consultant
Betty provides on-hand marketing support for businesses through content creation and strategic digital direction. She has a wealth of experience across numerous social media platforms, delivering both paid and organic campaigns, utilising photography, e-newsletters, video, podcasting and website copy to build engaged and active audiences.
Betty’s background as Marketing Manager for business support organisation Unlocking Potential has given her a rich and strategic insight into the marketing challenges the Cornish start-up business community face. She now applies this experience to crafting marketing strategies for clients, taking a straightforward, accessible approach and providing memorable content designed to compliment their brands. A keen photographer, Betty loves to be behind the camera, bringing delicious food and drink to life through the lens.
