SME Printing Firm Wins National Acclaim
Nationwide Print in St Austell has achieved national recognition in the most prestigious and competitive printing industry honours – the PrintWeek Awards.
Nationwide received ‘Highly Commended’ in the closely fought Small or Medium Enterprise (SME) category; the Cornish firm was just pipped at the post for the top spot.
Managing Director Julian Hocking, who attended the exclusive award ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 17th October, was pleased with his firm’s achievement, saying: “We are extremely proud to be counted as one of the best printing companies of our size in the whole of the UK.”
Nationwide, which was founded in 1959 and now employs 15 people at the Holmbush Industrial Estate, won the same title in 2014.
Julian commented: “Our success in the PrintWeek Awards over the last few years has been a contributing factor in our continued growth. It has helped give us the confidence to invest in new technology and staff, and spurred us on to become a green leader in the printing industry.”
Julian added: “My team are dedicated and ambitious, and I know we’ll secure the top spot again very soon.”
Nationwide’s international clients include Armani and Rolex; local customers include the Eden Project and St Austell Brewery.

Returning from London off the back of this award success, Julian will now turn his attention to rolling out new technology upgrades, including colour management software and digital finishing equipment.
Nationwide Print is also continuing its programme of sustainability improvements, with external insulation and cedar cladding, and investment in electric vehicles for local deliveries.
